Come learn Alla Prima techniques for painting the portrait. Alla Prima means paintings done in one session. Noah will show you classical techniques for painting a realistic portrait. Noah will teach the use of plumb lines, comparative measurement, and tilt angle to find correct proportions. Noah will show how he mixes colours and talk about how he thinks about colour when painting. Working from live clothed models, you will learn how to start your painting, see and record shapes clearly and simply, and model form by carefully observing the properties of light.

You will work on two paintings. One from 10am to 1pm and one from 2 to 5pm.

There will be a break for lunch from 1 to 2pm.

Limited space.

Lots of demos and individual instruction!

All levels of experience welcome but some drawing experience recommended.

Cost $157.50 includes GST and model fees

Cancellation and make up policy

If you cancel 4 days before the start of workshop you get a full refund. Cancel after this date there is no refund. If a class has to be canceled by Noah, you get a full refund.
