Online Class
Drawing is the foundation of all realist art. In this 4 week portrait drawing class, Noah will show you classical techniques for drawing a realistic portrait. Noah will teach the use of plumb lines, comparative measurement, and tilt angle to find correct proportions. Working from a model photo reference you will learn how to start your drawing, see and record shapes clearly and simply, and model form by carefully observing the properties of light.
You will work on two different drawings in this class.
The focus will be on refining ones drawing. We will work on grey paper with pencils and white pastel.
The online classes are on a private YouTube channel. The classes are in 4k and recorded so students can re-watch at any time. Noah will livestream his demo to start the class. Students will work at home from a portrait photo that will be emailed to each student. Students will email photos of their work in progress during the class and Noah will critique and help each students on the live stream.
You need an internet connection and a computer, laptop or tablet to watch as well as a cell phone with a camera or a digital camera to take pictures of your work and email them to me during the class!
Lots of demos and individual instruction!
All levels welcome.
