My painting "Self-Portrait 08" has been chosen as a finalist in the Kingston Prize for Canadian Portraiture. 

The main prize is $10,000.
Following its opening in Kingston, the 2009 exhibition will travel on a national tour across Canada.

 I've been given a fellowship to take part in the Hudson River Fellowship in Hunter, New York from July 6th to August 2nd.   The Hudson River Fellowship was founded by Jacob Collins, one of the most respected academic teachers teaching in North America today.  I'm looking forward to a month of painting along side my fellow artists as we paint the landscape around the Catskill Mountains as well as visiting New York City and connecting with other artists and galleries!
